GSM Coil Anodisers has the singular capability of being able to produce anodised aluminium winding material in large volumes. These coils are a core component in electro-magnets and MRI scanners.
Anodised aluminium is an established material for winding dc and ac coils. It is durable, lightweight, compact and cheap in comparison with alternative materials such as copper. Anodised aluminium is well known for robustness, both thermal and mechanical.
The anodising process adds a layer of hard aluminium oxide to a conductor of aluminium. This coating has a high electrical breakdown value, combined with a high thermal conductivity and high heat resistance.
Although aluminium has a conductivity level 61% of copper, the narrow space occupied by the insulation coupled with the possibility of running at higher temperatures allows similar sized windings of equivalent performance.
The aluminium coil also has a significant weight advantage - important for lifting devices. Coil can be supplied in strip form with material between 0.5mm to 1.5mm gauge.
